B Ed Diaries

Today was Bethany feast day. Morning itself me and Emily took the car and went to buy rose flowers for all the sisters and also we were prepared to pay a tribute to these sisters by singing a song for them. Also they all were so happy and also we got ladoo and cake as a return gift.

 27 July Today I lost my period due to a program conducted by Deepika publications to promote leadership qualities among students. It was a very useful and interactive session which included various programs put up by several DCL student representatives. 

Today we had a visitor and that was our dearest Joju sir. He came to take class for the naughtiest boys only class 9A. But surprisingly hearing joju sir class all were so quiet and well mannered. Even we listened to his class as an when we were free. It was a worthy one.   .

 25 July As usual today also started with a morning prayer and HM gave us instructions for today. Today most of the teachers were on leave due to Covid issues, so many of us got extra periods and even I got double periods in 9B.

 As usual today also started with a prayer session and then we all went to our respective classrooms. As it was Sports day for thus school, we all had duties for the same. Then suddenly we got call from HM and some of us had duties for sports day. It was really fun seeing the enthusiasm in students. But after some time the nature blessed us with rain but the students were so depressed.  Seeing their sad faces made us also little down. And with all the discipline duties...even today's day at st goretti came to an end.

 Today was the last day of midterm exams. The exams were conducted in the morning and afternoon.  Today also the day started with the morning Prater session and we all went to attend our duties as invigolators. I had a class today, even though everyone was in a lethargic mood but I started a new small poem "Song of a dream " and they all loved the poem as it was small in size. And even this day came to an end.

 Today as usual started with prayer session along with that we got enough from Headmistress and then we all dispersed to our classes. Some of us had exam duties. I had class on 6th and 7th period and I made them to do the activities behind the text. Then we had discipline duty and after that I went home.

  Yes today finally we took a group photo of the team Gorettis. It was another fun moment. Also as always this day started off with the prayer session and I moved to class for exam duty. But I lost a class yesterday due to exams. Also I had exam duty after lunch break. Then we all got down for discipline duty but for being little late we all got enough from HM sister😔. After that we all went home and another tiring day came to an end.

  It was a new week and a new start. Monday started off well with the prayer session at HMs office. Today exams got started for students and I got an opportunity to stand for exam duty. It was a good experience and the first one. Monday as I had last period, my period didn't sink in exams and I could finish a complete lesson too. Today I had lunch duty but as I was busy collecting exam papers could not go for the duty and my friends substituted my position. Evening we all got down for discipline duty and even this day came to an end. I reached home with a tired face and a heart full of valued and special moments.

  After a holiday on Friday, Saturday was a working day and we had school till 2 pm. Thankfully Saturday followed Friday's timetable and I got 4th period in class 9B. And also I got substitution for first and second period which helped me to complete a got amount of portion and lesson plans. Then my friends had lunch duty and I was free but had to get down for evening discipline duty. Today I was able to get home early.

  Second day we got all our duties and at 8:40 I reached this school. The day started with the prayer at HMs office. Then sister addressed the BEd trainees and gave many informations regarding our duties. Then I prepared myself for the third period in 9B. Then I had lunch duty and it was a great experience and I loved it the most. After that I was free and evening we all got down for discipline duty and stood till around 4:45.  And there came an end to the second day.

 And there came the second phase of teaching practice.  This time my stage to show my skills was St. Goretti H.S.S Nalanchira. I got 9B and my teacher in charge was Threasiamma ma'am. Today I had class on 6th period and I was a lil bit nervous for the first day. The day started with a morning prayer session in HM's office and she gave all details about today's activities in school along with instructions for B Ed trainees. After that we went to auditorium as it was the place alloted for teacher trainees.  Then during lunch break some of my friends had lunch duty and I patiently waited for my class. Then there came the 6th period and I entered my class. Had a great experience with 52 students. It was bit strainful for my throat but was a very different experience. Then some of my friends  including me had evening duty and it ended by around 4:45pm. Then took an auto and I reached home tired but extremely feeling so special and happy about this profession.
