Innovative Work

My work highlights more on the ways on how teachers could make classes more interesting and effective. Onlinebased teaching mainly involves jam boards and PowerPoint. Innovatively I could spice up a normal traditional PowerPoint into an educational game through PowerPoint games to give the students a real time competitive experience and environment of gami ng along with learning. All the components of PowerPoint can be used through these created online games and can make classes more interesting. It will not be just a normal traditional PowerPoint presentation instead; the classes will be more effective w ith PowerPoint games. The subject English can be little boring after some when it is taught through online mode. The only way out of this can be teaching English through online games with the help of Microsoft PowerPoint.

I have prepared a realtime PowerPoint game with 23 slides. The usual process includes dividing those students who are present currently in the online platform into two and more groups. In this game, they are divided into two groups. There are in total ten questions that is five questions each for a group. From the homepage, the assigned group can select a question number and the host or the teacher can click on the same. Then the question appears for the group and if they answer it correctly, we can then go back to the homepage and the group gets the chance to select any alphabet situated on a panel at the left side of the homepage under the title “points”. In this panel of alphabets, each one hides in a certain point which on luck basis the group can choose a certain alphabet and add the point that hides behind the alphabet to their group. Answering the question correctly gives the group this advantage and if it is wrong then they do not secure any points. Hyperlinks, animations, visuals, transition and many other elements of PowerPoint were used to create this game. The game was made interesting by animations, sounds, etc.

This modes. PowerPoint I t games can be online an conducted was observed that students started to be more productive and use d offline d through this game. their studied lessons effectively In addition, response from the students. E ven the teacher gets a positive boring classes could be made more interesting and fun through this game. S the lessons and tudents started to be more attentive to there could be seen a huge increase attendance on online mode. In today’s s ociety, new generations and the learning h in abits of students have changed which their needs and cir cumstances no longer the same as ten years ago, which is why it is essential that schools can learn how to provide an educational, didactic and safe response to the needs of students. To achieve this, it requires a teacher with an updated training and possessing a degree of digital competence to undertake the teachinglearning process of students and to promote the acquisition of key competencies in students. This, we define teaching digital competence as a set of skills, competencies, knowledge and at titudes that teachers must have in order to make a critical, dynamic and creative use of ICT in their classrooms. The importance of teacher training at the digital educational level, both initial and contin uous, is essential for the success of the educational system. Innovation and research are part of the teacher’s role to promote the continuous improvement of teaching processes in the different educational stages.
