Day 16 @ St Gorettis

 We were assigned the job for conducting the Independence day. We took this as a challenge. 

We were instructed to arrive at school by 7.30 AM to prepare the students for various events before the flag hoisting at 8.30 AM. There were students dressed up representing different states for the program 'Unity in Diversity' and students dressed as freedom fighters for the program 'With the Leaders'. Most of the freedom fighters were 10 A boys and making them dressed up was the funniest moment of this day. Most of them showed up late at 8 AM and all of us our efforts with the timely help from the parents made it possible to start the rally on time.  After the rally, students assembled at the auditorium for the scheduled program. Dr Saju of the Chemistry department of Mar Ivanios College was the chief guest. I was little tensed because I was the main coordinator of the programs where I assigned sub coordinators for each program. My constant support was Sini maam and Vachana sister. Also I took up the direct charge of dance and fashion show of students who represent different states and also students who dressed up as freedom fighters. Gopika and Azni helped me with the intro of fashion show and the background music. Dance was too good and Georgia helped us by mixing the songs. Patriotic Song was under the coordination of Sister Jeena and Emily and they also did a great job. Selection of different states and stydents were done by Shilpa, Sruthi and Sreevineetha. All planned programs went well, even though it was planned with a two days gap. And the students were too good. Also our HM was so happy for conducting it flawlessly.
